So I am the first one to review this product.....
Conceptually, this product is wonderful. The ability to play your iPod through the Odyssey car stereo w/o having to swap out the radio or buy one of those unreliable FM transmitters is awesome!
Let me warn you, however, that most of the Honda Service Tech's do not know alot about this product yet, which will require you to read/study the manual and spend quite a bit of time playing with the setup to get it right.
Pros:
Ability to carry all of your favorite music w/you in the car w/o having to carry mutliple CD's
Sound quality is is good or better than your factory CD's
Cons:
The ability to control the iPod through the car stereo is nice but BOY, is it complicated.
You are required to push and hold or push and release a series of buttons (which you must memorize) in order to access your music in the playlists you've organized. There is no text readout of your playlists or music displayed on the radio screen, only a computer generated voice that either reads you the first letter of your playlist or if you push the right buttons, will try and pronounce the playlists as you've named them, using Text-To-Speech software. (Hint: Don't choose Microsoft Sam as your voice.....CREEEEEPEEEEE).
I'm sure the next generation of this product will be much more user friendly. For now, it's a fun toy and once learned, does seem to work well.
